“We stayed here a while ago and revisited just a couple of weeks ago and it's just got even better. The best hosts ever! Throughly recommended.”

Ian McGuinness and family July 2017

“We are not long back from our second stay at La Grange, part of the Manoir de Bolu self catering accommodation. As a party of 3 - with a 10 year old daughter - we cannot rate this place highly enough. It really is the very best - the attention to detail, quality and hospitality of the owners is exceptional. There is so much to keep children entertained and highlights for my daughter have to be the pool and trampoline. With a car, there is so much to do in the area and a bit further. Brittany has such beautiful beaches - you are spoilt for choice. After a day spent at the beach or by the pool, a lovely hot shower and peaceful night's sleep awaits at La Grange. We'll be back!”

“Had a fantastic time during our stay at Manoir de Bolu. The Grange cottage we stayed in was beautifully furnished, well equipped & even better than the website photographs. Our children had a fabulous time exploring the site and there was always something new for them to discover. Sue & Chris are great hosts, on hand when needed but in no way intrusive & have thought of everything. The welcome pack, teddy bears on the children's beds, supermarket shop and the leaving gift of a rose cutting from Sue were all lovely touches that made this a first class place to stay.”

“Our third visit to this magical place. We stayed in la grange with our 7 month old, 4 and 5 year olds. Chris and Sue are the perfect hosts in every way, the house is absolutely spotless, the facilities I have to say are unrivalled anywhere we have seen or stayed in (and I do a lot of Internet research!). The kids had endless fun just messing around on the ride on toys, jumping on the trampoline, and playing games in the huge paddock. We went out of swimming pool season (we've been twice in the pool season which is fantastic) but to be honest there was so much to do we didn't miss it. Brittany is gorgeous. The food is amazing (fresh lobster, crab, mussels). Le quillio is in the very heart of rural Brittany and there's plenty to do on the doorstep with the beaches a short drive away. Very highly recommended.”

“Relaxing for the adults whilst entertaining for the kids” Aug 2016

We had a fantastic week here and would highly recommend to anyone. Such a beautiful and well equipped house in very peaceful surroundings. The adults were able to enjoy the private garden and nice BBQ while the kids were kept constantly entertained with climbing frame, slides, trampoline, swimming pool, ping pong and lots of ride on toys.
One of our children is not yet one and the house was so well equipped for babies. So much attention to detail.
Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Five stars doesn't quite seem enough...” Aug 2016

What a fantastic week!

The owners were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful

The pool was amazing! Nice temperature and lots of fun inflatable toys and floats available.

The garden was just perfect... So well equipped for lots of fun for the children and a big open space for the adults to play rounders once the children were in bed! The barn with the dart board, pool table etc and children's toys was great fun and was certainly a place that the children often wondered off to!

The house.. Wow. Beautiful. The owners attention to detail was incredible and all the little details really made the holiday. For example the welcome pack (various food, drink, teas and coffees). Very kind.

The location was perfect. The house and garden itself felt safe for the children to wonder around freely. In just 20/30 minutes you could be in Pontivy (where there was a huge supermarket, a lovely town centre, a beautiful river and what appeared to be a huge market).

Whilst there we went to the local go karting place that was advertised everywhere which was so fun, and only a little competitive! We also visited the local lake at the place called "Beau Rivage", such a fun day out and will definitely go back.

We had a lovely week in The Maison in Le Quillio and will definitely return in the future. Thank you Sue and Chris for such a special week & of course for the beautiful roses that we can't wait to see bloom next year!

Everything a family could need for a relaxing holiday in a clean, beautiful, fabulous cottage” Aug 2016

We have 3 children aged 7, 4 and 1 so holidays these days are not all that relaxing, but the owners of Le Manoir have thought of everything. We were staying in Le Grange which was immaculate and beautiful. There were toys, books, dvds for all and each bedroom and bathroom had been set up with care and consideration with a stuffed toy for the children to borrow and plenty of bathroom treats.

The owners had provided a starter kit of food so no one went hungry on arrival or for breakfast (they had also offered to shop for anything we may need) and the kitchen had all the equipment a family could require (including a steriliser). The fresh flowers were a gorgeous touch.

Our private garden had plenty of age appropriate toys and the rest of the grounds provided plenty to keep all amused with the toys in the covered barn, the pool and the big play area with trampoline and climbing frames. Everything was maintained beautifully even though we were staying at the end of the season when often things are tired.

Should it be rainy when you are staying there is English freeview television (including CBeebies!!).

So often when staying in self-catering you wonder why you are paying more than your monthly mortgage for something less comfortable than home, but not in this case. It was homely, spacious and comfortable. You also think how you would do things differently to make a holiday better, but again not in this case - everything had been thought of and provided.

Thank you to Chris and Sue for a brilliant week.

“Superior holiday accommodation, beautifully presented and fully equipped to ensure a superb stay” Aug 2016

Stunning property located in a quiet rural location on the edge of the village of Le Quillo - but also centrally located to visit many of the treasures of Brittany.

Extremely helpful Owners who obviously have a genuine pride in making your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible with everything you could possibly need and more in the property.

Excellent facilities on site for young and old alike including a superb swimming pool, large garden containing swings & trampolines etc.

A perfect location for hosting our extended family holiday - we will be back!

"We have had a lovely, relaxing family holiday at La Grange. The house is definitely the best most well equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much for the starter pack on arrival, to say my daughter has loved the swimming pool is an understatement; it’s such a treat to be able to swim outside. We have visited and would recommend the zoo at Tregomeur and the Aquariam at Tregastel, the latter quite small but good if combined with a leisurely lunch. All the beaches we’ve visited have been superb and you’re spoilt for choice in Brittany. Finally the Chateaux de la Hunaudaye at Pledeliac proved to be a hit with our daughter, combined with a nearby creperie for lunch. You have such excellent taste and we have greatly appreciated staying in your lovely property." Alistair and family - July 2015

"We arrived on 26th July for a 2 week stay at La Grange, late in the evening after a long journey from Calais to be welcomed by the owners and a fab welcome pack which was much appreciated. The house, facilities and hosts have all been excellent. We have stayed with 3 children, 12, 11 and 7 and the pool has been a big hit and the Wi-Fi has been brilliant for the older boys who can’t seem to survive without the internet!!!. We have had lots of sightseeing trips out. Dinan and Vannes are well worth a visit as are the smaller places like Josselin and Vannes which are full of character and we have enjoyed a leisurely day out at the Abbey de bon Repos with a good lunch. My husband has made good use of the bikes and the cycling routes are excellent here and very child friendly. We all had a truly excellent holiday and will highly recommend you to friends and family".   Phil and family - August 2015

"Thank you so much for such an amazing family holiday, we are rather sad to leave such a beautiful place. When I first walked through the door I just thought wow!!!!. The décor was beautiful and everything so clean and finished to such a high standard. I have never been in a place that has everything you could possibly need, the small details like books found in the children’s bedside tables, teddies and toys the list goes on and on. So safe for children and my children have loved every minute here." John and family - July 2015.

"We knew from all the information on the website this was going to be a fabulous place and we were not disappointed. Everything was spotlessly clean, the house was beautiful, the pool warm, the garden lovely, the play area great, the toy’s plentiful. Probably better than being at home. You as our hosts were brilliant, there but not there! Thank you for everything”

“ What a special place! We came here just the 4 of us and it was fab. Our 16 month old had hours of fun with the toy pushchair, whilst my 9 year old had more space to run around in and play games than he could ever of imagined. “The ten of us ranging in age from 2 1/2 – 77 years have had a wonderful week in the glorious Manor. Everything you could possibly want or need is here, and the beds are blissfully comfortable. All the toys and occupations on site kept the five children very happy. Of course the lovely swimming pool was a great favourite, and the bicycles catered for all our ages. Your kitchen we thought was a dream, and we loved the décor and furnishings you have done, keeping the French traditions. The welcoming provisions were a lovely touch which we much appreciated.  Must mention your amazing wildflower meadow which was perfection. All agree that the owners are quite exceptional in what they have achieved here Good luck for the future.”
Kirsty, Bruce, Fiona, Ella, Katy and Jack - July 2009.

“ From the New Zealand contingent. Thank you both. We are glad that you spent 3 years locating the ideal home away from home, ‘Manoir de Bolu’ is certainly worth the wait!, we enjoyed the friendliness of the locals. With the children we found a particular appreciation for the park, the grounds the play equipment and of coarse the pool, nicely heated we might add. In all a memorable holiday and quite unlike anything we have experienced in New Zealand. "
Taff, Tia, Rose and Harry Bennett – July 2009.

“I don’t want to leave! It’s been the most wonderful holiday. The house feels so welcoming with the most marvellous decorative touches everywhere. Every cupboard held something exciting. Children were particularly well catered for. I loved the outside area to. So thoughtfully set out depending on whether one feels energetic or not. I would absolutely love to come back.”
